THE MISSION
Every kid deserves to play. Not every kid gets the chance. I'm building until that changes.
The access gap
A kid in Pearland has access to 12 different youth soccer leagues within 10 miles.
A kid in Acres Homes has access to 1.
Same city. Completely different sports infrastructure.
That gap doesn't close itself.
It's not a motivation problem. It's not a parenting problem. It's an infrastructure problem, and infrastructure can be built.
The data layer
Building the evidence base.
4,000+ programs scraped
1 city
0 centralized places to find them
I'm learning data science specifically to answer questions nobody has clean data for yet. Which zip codes lose kids to sports by age 12? Which program models have the best retention? Where are the gaps, exactly, and how big are they? You can't close a gap you can't measure. I'm building the tools to measure it.
The wider mission
There's a layer underneath the products.
The research, the advocacy, and the evidence base for why this work matters. It's the long-term home for the mission when the tools do their job. More on that as it takes shape.
Work with us
Build this with me.
If you work in youth sports, sports equity, or nonprofit access work, I want to talk to you. There's too much to build for one person to build alone, and the right partnerships change what's possible. Let's figure out if we're one of them.
